Zhang Linyan to join on loan

We are delighted to announce the signing of Zhang Linyan on loan from Chinese Women's Super League club Wuhan Jianghan University, subject to international clearance and the player obtaining a work permit.

The 22-year-old China international forward will link up with the Club in October following the conclusion of the Asian Games, where she is currently representing her nation, and will wear the number 18 shirt.

A product of Evergrande International Football School, Linyan represented Beijing Women and Guangzhou before joining Wuhan Jianghan University in 2022.

She spent the 2022/23 campaign on loan at Grasshopper Club Zürich in Switzerland, where she featured regularly, scoring eight goals in 19 league appearances.

A senior international for China since 2022, she won gold with her country at the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup and recently featured in all of China’s matches at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
