Toby's back at Spurs - and on N17 Live this evening!

Thu 04 November 2021, 11:45|Tottenham Hotspur

Toby Alderweireld is back at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and will join us on N17 Live for this evening's UEFA Europa Conference League clash against Vitesse (8pm).

Our popular matchday show kicks-off at 6.45pm with host Ben Haines, Club Commentator Rob Daly and senior Club Journalist Paul Miles talking all things Spurs, including Antonio Conte's appointment and, of course, our Dutch opponents. We'll also have the breaking team news - Antonio's first team selection as our new Head Coach - and fascinating input from Toby, who played 42 times for us in Europe.

One of our best defenders of the modern era, Toby was snapped up from Atletico Madrid in July, 2015, and formed a strong central partnership with fellow Belgian Jan Vertonghen, the pair providing the backbone of our Champions League qualification in 2015/16 and our best defensive record in a Premier League campaign (26 goals conceded) on our way to second place in 2016/17.

Toby started both legs of the quarter-final, semi-final and then the final in our Champions League run of 2018/19. He went on to make 236 appearances in his six years at Spurs before starting a new chapter at Al-Duhail SC in Qatar this summer. He's also now won 118 caps for Belgium.

Meanwhile, supporters in the stadium will be able to hear from Spurs fans Grace Harvey, silver medallist at the Tokyo Paralympics and Declan Brooks, who landed a bronze in the BMX freestyle event at this summer's Olympics.
