Ria nominated for FA WSL Player of the Month
Mon 29 November 2021, 11:00|Tottenham Hotspur
Ria Percival is in the running for the Barclays FA Women’s Super League (WSL) Player of the Month award for November.
Our no.12 was instrumental in our WSL games against Manchester United and Arsenal as we took points from both teams for the first time in our history and came within minutes of securing a first north London derby win.
The 31-year-old made an impact at both ends of the pitch, put her body on the line to stifle goalbound efforts and worked tirelessly throughout to recover possession.
New Zealand’s record appearance maker turned provider and sparked scenes of jubilation in injury time against United when her deep free kick from the halfway line swung all the way in to ensure a share of the spoils.
Ria is shortlisted alongside Natasha Dowie (Reading), Kim Little (Arsenal), Jessie Fleming (Chelsea) and Lauren Hemp (Manchester City).
