Tottenham HotspurClub Ambassador Ossie Ardiles was guest of honour at the end of season presentation of Tottenham-based sport for development club, Estudiantes London.
Estudiantes, who are affiliated to the London FA, provide a free football and futsal training programme by UEFA-qualified coaches on the condition students show an outstanding attitude towards their education.
Showcase matches are organised for the best performing students with a view to trying to secure scholarships at universities both in the UK and the USA.
In recent months, the team have travelled to play at the University of Cambridge, Loughborough University, Southend United FC and against English futsal champions, Helvecia.
The ceremony, held at Haringey Sixth Form College, started with a video of Ossie's career highlights playing for Argentina and Spurs, before the man himself answered questions from the audience and awarded the best performers of the year with their trophies.
Isam Belmoudden, who has recorded an impressive 100% attendance on his college course this year, was presented with the Players’ Player of the Year award. The Student of the Year award went to Daniel Gebrehiwet as a result of his great performance on his UAL Art course at Haringey Sixth Form College.
The evening concluded with students having the chance to take a photo with Ossie on what was a truly special evening for everyone involved.
