Les Dicker

Thu 07 January 2021, 09:30|Tottenham Hotspur

We were saddened to hear of the death of our former player Les Dicker who passed away last month following illness. He was 93.

An outside-left, Les was born in Lambeth and joined us from Chelmsford City in June 1951.

He made his debut the following August at home to West Bromwich Albion and went on to score twice in 10 league appearances for us.

Les left for Southend United in July 1953 before returning to Chelmsford City two years later. He went on to make 261 appearances in total for Chelmsford, scoring 108 goals - making him their sixth highest all-time goalscorer.

We extend our condolences to his family and friends at this sad time.
