Club to raise awareness of local Foodbanks with 24-hour live Twitch stream

Tue 14 December 2021, 16:30|Tottenham Hotspur

We will be promoting our ongoing fundraising initiative for local Foodbanks with a 24-hour live stream on our official Twitch channel.

Coinciding with the one-year anniversary of our Twitch channel, the live stream will help raise funds and awareness for Foodbanks in the run-up to Christmas. Foodbanks provide emergency food and support to people living in poverty - currently more than 14 million people in the UK.

Hosted by club presenters Rebekah Walker and Matt Tarr, the 24-hour live stream will begin at 10pm on Wednesday 15 December and will conclude following a live match watch along of our Premier League fixture away at Leicester City on Thursday 16 December.

Fans will have plenty of opportunities to join in with the live stream, including taking part in live FIFA 22 gameplay, interviews with Spurs legends, quizzes with official Supporters' Clubs around the world, and even joining in a live training session with a Club coach. Viewers will also have the opportunity to sign a Christmas card for our men’s first team, as well as having the chance to win some exclusive prizes.

The fundraising campaign was first launched back in January, in partnership with the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, enabling fans to donate by text.

Since then, the campaign has had visibility at all home matches and on Club social media channels, with Tottenham Foodbank regularly holding matchday collections for fans to donate much-needed items at the nearby Tottenham Community Sports Centre.

For the 24-hour live stream, fans will have a special code to use in order to donate - texting COYS24FB plus an amount to 70085* (for example, text COYS24FB 10 to donate £10). All monies raised by the fundraiser will be split between Tottenham Foodbank and North Enfield Foodbank, both of which the Club has had a long-standing relationship with.

Ahead of Christmas, the Club will also be making its annual delivery of items donated by players and staff to both Foodbanks.

Visit our official Twitch page to get ready for the live event.
