Internationals - proud first cap for Esther

Esther Morgan made her senior international debut for Wales against Canada in Cardiff on Friday.

Still just 18, Esther stepped off the bench for her first cap after 66 minutes of the friendly at Leckwith Stadium. Her team-mate at Spurs, Shelina Zadorksy, was there to greet her as part of the Canada team that ran out 3-0 winners thanks to goals on 25, 59 and 63 minutes. Shelina completed the 90 minutes for Canada and went close in the first half.

Esther's fellow Welsh team-mates Josie Green and Anna Filbey were unused substitutes. They will all hope to add to their caps as Wales take on Denmark in another friendly, this time at Cardiff City Stadium, on Tuesday (7.15pm). Shelina, meanwhile, will face England in a friendly at Stoke City on Tuesday (7.15pm).

So-hyun Cho was an unused substitute as Korea Republic lost the first leg of their Olympic qualifier against China 2-1 in Goyang on Thursday. The return leg is in China on Tuesday. Aurora Mikalsen was also an unused substitute as Norway beat Belgium 2-0 in a friendly in Brussels.
