Dele Alli, Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris, Lucas Moura and Harry Winks feature alongside actor Peter Capaldi in a fundraising film aiming to raise £500,000 for the Club’s Official Charity Partner, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

The Keep Noah’s Ark Afloat campaign launches today and will conclude on Sunday 26 July, ahead of our final match of the Premier League season against Crystal Palace.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Noah’s Ark is experiencing unprecedented demand for its services to care for seriously unwell babies and children across north and central London.

It now needs to raise £500,000 to fund the recruitment of enough nurses to staff its new In-Patient Unit within The Ark, which opened its doors for the first time during the pandemic.

Funds raised will also enable Noah’s Ark to re-start vital care for children in their homes, many of whom have been shielding for months.

The campaign, which runs over the next 48 hours, launches with an emotive video showing staff and families at the charity’s hospice building, The Ark, alongside some highlights of its long-term partnership with the Club.

These include Harry Kane visiting a family at home, Dele surprising a young fan at school and Hugo Lloris opening The Ark last year.

The video’s soundtrack is a new song written by scriptwriter Ivor Baddiel, scored by composer Erran Baron-Cohen and narrated by Capaldi, following the unmistakable tune of ‘The Animals Went in Two by Two’.

Hugo Lloris, Club captain, said: “Noah’s Ark is an incredible charity and I have seen first-hand the amazing work they do for seriously unwell babies and children. We’re proud to support them and to be part of this campaign at what is a very difficult time. We encourage anyone that is able to make a small donation to please do so – it will make a huge difference to so many families in our local community.”

Sophie Andrews, CEO of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, added: “This unique and wonderful collaboration comes at a time when we’re facing major and unprecedented challenges. Many of London’s most unwell children rely on our services, so now we’re calling on the community to dig deep to help us through coronavirus and beyond.”

Karen features in the campaign film alongside her children, Nix and Addy, who are both supported by Noah’s Ark. Speaking about how the charity came to her aid when she herself fell ill during the pandemic, she said: “I was completely incapacitated. Noah’s Ark literally took over, morning to night. They arranged transport for me to and from hospital, brought me everything I needed at The Ark – and, most importantly, looked after the girls when it would have been so hard for me to do so. When we really needed it, The Ark was there for us and it really helped us through some tough times. We love it."

We thank you for your continued support of this wonderful cause.
