Son stunner shortlisted for Premier League Goal of the Season

Heung-Min Son’s marvellous solo goal against Chelsea at Wembley on 24 November has been shortlisted for the Premier League’s Carling Goal of the Season award.

The South Korean star rounded off our 3-1 win against the Blues towards the end of last year with an excellent burst down the right flank and eventual finish from inside the box.

His effort, which was confirmed over the weekend as our Goal of the Season, was named Carling Goal of the Month for November, with all equivalent monthly award winners throughout the season – plus Manchester City’s Vincent Kompany for his strike against Leicester City earlier in May – now competing for the Premier League’s Goal of the Season prize.

Fan votes will be combined with those of a panel of experts in order to decide the winner.
