Success for attacker at Asian Games

Heung-Min Son has led South Korea to victory at the Asian Games.

Our all-action attacker, 26, captained the side to a 2-1 victory over Japan after extra time in the gold medal match at Pakansari Stadium in Indonesia on Saturday afternoon.

Goalless at the end of the 90 minutes, the game went into extra time, with Sonny providing two assists as Lee Seung-woo and Hwang Hee-chan put South Korea 2-0 up.

Ayase Ueda pulled one back for Japan but South Korea held on for a fifth title, with Sonny substituted in the closing moments as his nation saw the match out.
