Team news | Naz available for Brighton

Martin Ho has confirmed that Jess Naz is available for selection ahead of Sunday’s home clash with Brighton & Hove Albion in the Barclays Women’s Super League (2pm GMT).

The homegrown forward returned to action as a second-half substitute after almost 11 months out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the win against Bristol City in the Players Cup on 28 October, but wasn’t involved in the squad for last weekend’s 4-1 league victory at Birmingham City as the club carefully manages her workload.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Head Coach Martin said the 26-year-old is in the frame once more for the match against the Seagulls at Brisbane Road.

“Jess Naz is back in contention for this game,” he said. “She just couldn’t play the three games so close to one another.

“The only addition to that would be Olga (Ahtinen), who is still the same and will be a couple of weeks away.”

Long-term absentees Maite Oroz, Clare Hunt and Alice Sombath remain out.
