WSL Fantasy | Spurs Matchweek 9 Preview

After returning to winning ways in our previous match against Birmingham City, it was a successful Matchweek 8 for WSL Fantasy managers with Spurs players in their team.

Fantasy Football Scout take a look at the numbers behind a high-scoring performance across the board for our players before looking ahead to Matchweek 9.

We have teamed up with Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2026/27 season.

They will be using their expertise to provide advice and matchweek tips, which should prove useful in ensuring you win your mini-leagues.

Best of Spurs

Drew Spence (£6.0m) made WSL history by becoming the player to have featured the most in the competition. She marked this achievement with four points in Fantasy from two appearance points, one attacking action point and one defensive action point.

Players register attacking action points for making any combination of four attacking actions (creating a chance, having a shot on target, a successful dribble and a successful cross). They register defensive action points for making a combination of 10 interceptions, clearances, recoveries, shots blocked and tackles won.

Victoria Pelova (£6.5m) was our top WSL Fantasy points scorer in Matchweek 8 and was impressively the tied top scorer across the game. Vic scored 15 points courtesy of a goal, an assist and three attacking action points, registering 12 attacking actions with five chances created, two shots on target, three successful dribbles and two accurate crosses.

Olivia Holdt (£7.5m) registered 11 points in Matchweek 8 after scoring a free-kick, which was one of her recorded six shots, the most of any player in the game. Oli also registered three shots on target and created three chances to ensure that she registered an attacking action point.

Signe Gaupset (£6.0m) was just one point behind our number 11 with 10 points for the week after scoring against the Blues, collecting an attacking action point on Sunday afternoon.

Our defender, who is listed as a midfielder in WSL Fantasy, Julie Blakstad (£5.5m) registered eight points this matchweek. Like Signe, Julie scored and collected an attacking action point.

Spotlight: Olivia Holdt (£7.5m)

Oli has registered an impressive 48 points in WSL Fantasy so far this season and is on target to exceed the 118 points that she registered in the previous campaign.

This season her points have come from four goals, two clean sheet points, one defensive action point and seven attacking action points for making 37 attacking actions in the opening eight Matchweeks. She has also registered five bonus points.

In the league this season, the Dane has had an impressive 27 shots and has also created 11 chances and supplied five successful crosses.

This suggests that WSL Fantasy managers have two routes to points by investing in our midfielder through her own attempts on goal, as well as the chances that she creates for her teammates.

Found in just five per cent of WSL Fantasy teams, she looks an excellent differential for managers to invest in.

Most Transferred in

On the back of being the top-scoring player in Matchweek 8, it is no surprise to see Vic as the most transferred in Spurs player ahead of Matchweek 9.

The Dutch international is our top-scoring player so far this season with 70 WSL Fantasy points courtesy of six goals, three assists, two clean sheets, eight bonus points, one defensive action point and nine attacking action points.

Hidden Gem

Despite not returning in Nottingham Forest’s last league match in Matchweek 7, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah (£7.5m) has made a good start to the season and could be a good differential ahead of Forest’s match against Wolves in Matchweek 9.

Boye-Hlorkah has registered three goals and an assist so far this season, as well as a clean sheet point, seven bonus points, one defensive action point and seven attacking action points.

The deadline for transfers ahead of Matchweek 9 is on Saturday, 7 November at 12.45pm UK time.
