Vote for Van Hecke in Premier League's Player of the Matchweek
Jan Paul van Hecke has been shortlisted for the Premier League's Player of the Matchweek - and he needs your help!
The centre-back continued his ever-present run in the starting side in the Premier League and delivered a standout performance in our dominant 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
JP headed home our second on the night from the floor to double his tally in our colours, helped preserve our second successive clean sheet and produced record-breaking passing numbers that helped us breakdown the compact 10-men of Palace following Jean-Philippe Mateta's 13th-minute red card.
The ball-playing defender completed 143 passes in our success over the Eagles, overtaking Cristian Romero's previous record of 141 against the same opposition in October, 2023.
That tally also contributed towards breaking our all-time passing record for a Premier League game as we completed 759 in the contest, surpassing the previous record of 747 we set at Cardiff in January, 2019.
Already named your Player of the Match on the official App, our number six has now been shortlisted for the competition's Player of the Matchweek award.
To take that crown, he needs your help. To support JP, submit your vote via the link below. Voting is now open and will close on Wednesday 4 November at 12 noon.
