Roberto on when Pedro and Destiny will be ready to start matches

Roberto De Zerbi reports that Pedro Porro is ready to start again after his recent lay-off.

The full-back picked up a hamstring injury against Villa on 19 September and returned to action off the bench in last weekend’s 2-0 win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Pedro was back as a second half substitute in our 2-0 win against Crystal Palace on Saturday – Roberto later explaining the switch with Archie Gray at half-time was as a precaution as Archie, who opened the scoring, picked up a yellow card in the first half.

Meanwhile, Destiny returned off the bench on 77 minutes against Palace after picking up an injury at Old Trafford.

Asked in his post-match press conference if Pedro and Destiny were ready to start matches, Roberto explained: “Pedro is ready. We didn't take risks, speaking with him, he decided before the game, he was very honest with me and I appreciate that a lot because the Premier League is 38 games, not one game.

"With Destiny Udogie, hopefully we can work many weeks in a row. Until now, it was not possible.”
