James Maddison is up for the Premier League's Player of the Matchweek crown - and he needs your help!
Returning to our starting XI for the first time in 17 months for Monday's meeting with Coventry City, the midfielder made his mark almost immediately, curling home our opener in sumptuous style on 14 minutes as we went on to run out 3-1 winners.
Helping us to secure our first win of the new league campaign, it was Madders' first goal in the competition since February, 2025, when he slotted in against Manchester United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The strike from range against his boyhood club, Coventry, was also his 21st goal from outside the box in the competition since the 2018/19 campaign. No player has scored more goals from such range in that time.
Playing 69 minutes before being substituted, James' performance has now been recognised by the Premier League as he has been shortlisted for the competition's Player of the Matchweek title.
To take that crown though, he needs your help. To support our number 10, submit your vote for him via the link below. Voting is now open and will close on Wednesday 21 October at 12 noon.
