FPL | Spurs Gameweek 7 preview

After scoring a late equaliser in our 1-1 draw against Manchester United, Fantasy Football Scout have revealed that Dominic Solanke is the most transferred in Spurs player in Fantasy Premier League this week.

We have teamed up with Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2026/27 FPL season.

They will be using their expertise to provide advice and gameweek tips, which should prove useful in ensuring you win your mini-leagues.

As we prepare to face Coventry City on Monday, 19 October, Scout take a look at which Spurs players you should add to your team for Gameweek 6.

Best of Spurs

Dom (£5.8m) and Sandro Tonali (£5.3m) combined for our goal in Saturday evening’s 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

Both players registered seven points at Old Trafford, with the striker’s coming from the goal and a bonus point and Sandro’s coming courtesy of the assist and two bonus points.

Sandro also narrowly missed out on defensive contribution points in this one. Midfielders need to register 12 defensive actions (clearances, blocks, interceptions, tackles won and ball recoveries) to claim the two additional points. The Italian international registered nine in the match.

He was also unlucky during each of the previous two gameweeks, registering 11 defensive actions, just one shy of the threshold.

Conor Gallagher (£5.3m), Jan Paul van Hecke (£4.9m) and Archie Gray (£4.9m) all reached the defensive contributions threshold against Man United.

Conor registered 13 defensive actions, while Archie registered an impressive 14, and JP completed 11.

Defenders register defensive contribution points for making 10 defensive actions – these are the same as the actions for midfielders, however, defenders are not rewarded for ball recoveries.

JP has now achieved the threshold in two of the last three gameweeks.

Mohammed Kudus (£6.5m), Lucas Bergvall (£5.3m) and Antonin Kinsky (£4.5m) also picked up additional points in this match.

Both Mo and Lucas registered a clean sheet point as they were substituted before our opponents scored, while Toni registered a save point for making three saves.

Spotlight: Dominic Solanke (£5.8m)

The 29-year-old forward’s hard work was rewarded with his late goal at Old Trafford on Saturday.

During the match, Dom had four attempts on goal, the most across our team and only one forward in the league, Everton’s Thierno Barry (£5.7m) had more.

Of all our captain for the game’s attempts on goal in Gameweek 6, three were defined as OPTA big chances, having 33% of our shots against United.

Over the course of the season, he has had a tied team-leading nine attempts on goal, which is level with Sandro.

Our number 19  has also created two chances in the league this season, received nine passes in the penalty box, which only Savio (£6.5m) has received more than, and leads the way for expected goals (xG) across our team.

Spurs’ most popular FPL asset

As a result of his performance and goal in Gameweek 6, Dom is the most transferred in Spurs player ahead of Gameweek 7, with JP not far behind.

Our defender registered five clearances, four interceptions, a tackle, a block and six ball recoveries during the match as well as making 10 line-breaking passes.

His defensive actions on their own make him a popular pick for FPL managers, however, he also has excellent underlying attacking numbers.

Having already scored this season, the Dutch centre back has had five attempts on goal, all coming from inside the box and three defined as OPTA big chances.

He has also created five chances for our team, again with one being defined as a big chance.

Over the course of the season, JP has now returned 25 points in the last four gameweeks, returning two clean sheets, four defensive contribution points, a goal and two bonus points.

Hidden Gem

Aston Villa’s Johan Manzambi (£5.9m) could be a hidden gem for FPL managers in the coming weeks. The midfielder is owned by only 0.9% of the game and has now registered an attacking return in each of Villa’s last two Premier League matches.

The deadline for transfers ahead of Gameweek 7 is on Saturday, 17 October at 11am UK time.
