In-form Irow bags brace for Plymouth

On-loan forward Oli Irow kept up his fine form for Plymouth Argyle by netting their first two goals in Saturday’s 4-2 win at Blackpool in League One.

The 20-year-old cancelled out Jordan Brown’s opener with a good shot-on-the-turn on 36 minutes before producing a back-post finish seven minutes after the restart to edge his side ahead.

Ex-Spur Harvey White added a third for Argyle, Jerry Yates pulled one back before Bim Pepple rounded off the scoring.

It marked the second consecutive goalscoring weekend for Oli after he also netted Plymouth’s first in a 3-0 home victory over Barnsley the previous Saturday – an absolute rocket into the top corner.

Earlier in the season, he scored on his debut for Plymouth – as he did for previous loan club Mansfield Town – in a Carabao Cup tie against Coventry City. He’s made six appearances for Argyle to date.
