Our Women’s first team kicked off their pre-season programme with a 1-0 victory over Granada at Pinatar Arena on Sunday.
Picking up our first minutes ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, the fixture gave our players quite the test with temperatures reaching the mid-30s in the humid Spanish heat.
With 21 players utilised in the maiden workout, we dominated the proceedings from pretty much the first minute against the Liga F side and deservedly went on to win the game, getting our breakthrough four minutes from time after a moment of brilliance from Signe Gaupset.
Five of our summer arrivals also made their first appearances as Kirsty Hanson, Caitlin Dijkstra, Selma Panengstuen, Victora Pelova and Shekiera Martinez all got valuable minutes.
