Under-18s off and running in pre-season
Our Under-18s got their pre-season campaign underway with a victory over Watford in a training ground friendly on Saturday.
Coach Jamie Carr named a young side primarily made up of our new intake of first-year scholars and they produced a good performance, Phoenix Offiah and Blake Philogene-Bidace netting twice apiece before Toju Wellspring rounded off a 5-0 win.
Farren Doran and Conall Glancy, as second-year players, provided some additional Under-18s know-how during the game, with Austen Ball from the Under-16s also seeing action.
We got off to a strong start at Hotspur Way with striker Offiah putting us ahead only six minutes in before doubling his tally with 17 on the watch.
Philogene-Bidace then followed up with a brace of his own as we surged into a four-goal lead before half-time, with central midfielder Wellspring adding his name to the scoresheet in the second period.
The hard work continues for our Under-18s as they head off for a training camp in Cork, Ireland this coming week.
