Yang Min-Hyeok has been selected for South Korea's Under-23s squad for the 2026 Asian Games in Japan.
The men's football tournament at the Games will be held from 15 September to 3 October. The draw for the group stage takes place on Thursday 23 July.
Yang joined us from K League 1 side Gangwon FC in January, 2025 and has since enjoyed loan spells at QPR, Portsmouth and, most recently, Coventry City, where he was part of the Sky Blues squad that secured the Championship title and a return to the Premier League last season.
Now 20, the forward has two senior caps to his name, making his debut in a World Cup qualifier against Jordan in March, 2025.
Yang will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Spurs and South Korea legend Heung-Min Son, who helped South Korea lift the Asian Games title in 2018. Taegeuk Warriors are aiming for a fourth-successive title after winning in 2014, 2018 and 2022.
