Xavi Simons has undergone surgery on his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury sustained against Wolves last month.
The midfielder was stretchered off holding his right knee during the second half of our 1-0 win at Molineux following a coming together with Hugo Bueno, with scans later confirming he had ruptured his ACL.
Just over a week on from the injury, the procedure was completed on Tuesday (5 May) and our number seven will now commence his recovery and rehabilitation process.
Later posting a carousel of images on his official Instagram channel, Xavi added the caption: "I went missin, on a mission just perfecting my craft. Intro done. Now we rise.⏰🕹️"
Set for a lengthy spell out, there was also an outpouring of support from across the Spurs family with fans and team-mates posting in the comments:
Kevin Danso: "😒❤️"
Mathys Tel: "Love mon frère ❤️"
Djed Spence: "Believe"
Richarlison: "Good recovery bro 🙏🏽🤙🏽"
Pape Matar Sarr: "🤍"
Micky Van de Ven: "🥰"
