BLOW FOR YOUNG-PYO

Martin Jol reports that Lee Young-Pyo will miss the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury.The full-back picked up the problem in the first leg of our UEFA Cup quarter-final against Seville on April 5 and scans have revealed a tear in the lateral ligament of his left knee.

“It’s a shame for Young-Pyo,” said Martin. “He’s having surgery and will be out for the rest of the season and a big part of May and June as well.

“Hopefully he’ll be back in July for our pre-season preparations but as it stands, he’ll be out for two-and-a-half to three months.”
