Our Emerging Talent Centre is a brand new programme set up ahead of the 2020/21 season for girls aged eight to 12. This programme enables the Club to move away from the traditional ‘youth teams' structure in the foundation phase. Instead, the Club will join up and work with current grassroots clubs in the local area to provide a programme for girls to play football.
Our Emerging Talent Centre will be for players who have been identified with ‘emerging talent’ from either our Girls Only Evening Player Development Courses, by our Talent ID Staff or at one of our Open Trials. These players will be invited for weekly sessions designed to develop players individually through the application of our technical DNA and player development framework. Here players will have access to Sports Therapy Clinics, Educational Workshops, Residential Trips and the opportunity to represent Tottenham Hotspur Women during school holidays.
Players in the Emerging Talent Centre must either take part in a different sport regularly or play for a grassroots football club. Our staff will work with the grassroots club to ensure there is an holistic approach to the player's development.
