We have received five nominations at this year’s London Football Awards.
An awards evening which celebrates the very best of football in the capital, we have been shortlisted five times across four different categories for our Women’s First Team.
Midfielder Olivia Holdt has been nominated for Women’s Super League Player of the Year after a stunning season so far in Lilywhite. Netting six goals in all competitions this term to date, the Denmark international is currently our leading goalscorer, while she has also produced three assists, taking her goal involvements to nine in 19 appearances.
Elsewhere, Cathinka Tandberg and Tōko Koga – the latter becoming our youngest ever goalscorer in the WSL era - have both been shortlisted for the Women’s Young Player of the Award.
Our number one, Lize Kop, is also up for an award, one of five shot stoppers listed for the Goalkeeper of the Year and, in fact, the Netherlands international is the only Women’s player to be named in the nominations, preserving nine clean sheets in all competitions this campaign.
To round off the nominations, Head Coach Martin Ho has been shortlisted for the Manager of the Year and, once again, is the only manager from WSL to be listed in that category.
The winners of the awards will be announced on Thursday 5 March in an awards evening at the Exhibition White City, London.
We have had success at these awards in the past as, in 2022, Jess Naz claimed the Women’s Young Player of the Year.
