Spurs in Melbourne | Global Football Development team straight into action

Wed 22 May 2024, 03:15|Tottenham Hotspur

Our Global Football Development (GFD) team stepped straight into coaching action just hours after landing in Melbourne on Tuesday.

GFD coaches Danny Mitchell, our Football Development Manager and Shannon Moloney, one of the key members of Spurs Women's journey to the WSL, now International Football Development Manager, delivered an 80-minute technical session for a group of 30 male players aged 13/14 at Trinity Grammar School in the city.

The Club recently announced an exciting new multi-year football coaching partnership with Trinity Grammar, a first for the Australian state of Victoria and two coaches from the school assisted with the session, working closely alongside Danny and Shannon.

Chris Acaster, our Head of Global Coaching, said: "We are delighted to be here in Melbourne for Global Football Week, working with Trinity Grammar to support the development of local players and coaches in Victoria. It’s been fantastic to get on the grass on day one to launch this fantastic partnership and showcase our technical DNA.

Our GFD team deliver world-class technical and development programmes for players and coaches across the globe, providing each individual with the opportunity to play the game, learn and develop their skills with the flair, fluidity and attacking football which are the hallmarks of Spurs.
