Sat 03 February 2024, 19:00|
Tottenham Hotspur
We travel to Tranmere Rovers’ Prenton Park on Sunday afternoon as we face Liverpool in the Barclays Women’s Super League (2pm KO).
Both sides will look to return to winning ways in the league as we suffered a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City last time out, while The Reds have picked up back-to-back losses against Man City and Arsenal.
Here’s all you need to know ahead of the match…
How can I watch the game?
Sunday’s match will be streamed live on The FA Player, kick-off 2pm UK.
You can also keep up to date with minute-by-minute text updates on our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app.
Video highlights of all the action will be available on SPURSPLAY on Monday.
What is the team news?
Robert Vilahamn confirmed that defender Ashleigh Neville will be on the sidelines for a number of weeks after picking up an ankle injury.
The experienced defender – who has featured in 11 of the 12 WSL games so far this campaign - missed last week’s game against Manchester City at Brisbane Road and Robert Vilahamn confirmed that her injury is slightly worse than first thought and will miss our remaining games this month.
Midfielder Drew Spence (hamstring) also remains unavailable.
Leanne Kiernan is set to return to Liverpool’s squad on Sunday afternoon after recently being sidelined with a hip problem, but will be without vice-captain Taylor Hinds who picked up a calf problem and will be out for an extended period of time.
Who is the referee?
The referee will be Lauren Impey.
She will be assisted by Lisa Rashid and Levi Gray, with Jon Answorth-Sears as the fourth official.
What colours will the teams be playing in?
Liverpool will wear their usual all-red strips, with their goalkeeper in an all-green kit.
We will once again be wearing our home kit, featuring Lilywhite shirts, navy blue shorts and white socks, with our keeper in light blue.
What will the weather conditions be like?
It’ll be damp and dreary with drizzly rain at time throughout the afternoon, with temperatures at around 13 degrees.
