Thu 04 April 2024, 11:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Heung-Min Son has been nominated for the EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month award for March.

The nomination comes after the forward produced a league high of five goal involvements in the month, scoring three goals and assisting two more across our four fixtures in March.

The winner of September's edition of the prize, Sonny moved back into the central striker role this month and rediscovered his goalscoring form as he found the target in our opening game of the month - a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace - to score his first goal of 2024.

He then found the back of the net again as we travelled to Aston Villa, scoring our third while assisting goals two and four in a 4-0 win at Villa Park before he fired home the winner against Luton Town on Saturday - his 160th in our colours - as we enjoyed a strong month in England's top flight.

Our number seven is bidding to win the award for a fifth time and for the second time in the same campaign, having previously picked up the prize in September, 2016, April, 2017, October, 2020 and September, 2023.

It is the third time he has been nominated for the award this term having also been shortlisted in September and January, while he it is the sixth time a Spurs player has been nominated for the prize this term, With James Maddison (August), Cristian Romero (October) and Richarlison (February) all having been in the running this term.

Up against Sonny for the award are Newcastle United's Alexander Isak, Liverpool's Alexis Mac Allister, Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz, Chelsea's Cole Palmer, Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo and Arsenal's Ben White.

But, as usual, you can help Sonny to be named Player of the Month by voting for the forward via the link below. Voting is now open and will close at 12noon on Monday 8 April.
