Tyrell Ashcroft
Versatile defender Tyrell Ashcroft joined our Academy from Reading in July, 2022.
Born in Frimley, Surrey, he attended The Forest School in Winersh, Berkshire, and joined Reading as an Under-12 player.
He spent the majority of the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons playing for the Royals' Under-18s, before stepping up to represent their Development Squad regularly in 2021/22.
He made his senior debut in the Championship in November, 2021, at just 17 years of age, and went on to make four appearances at that level throughout the remainder of that campaign.
Operating primarily as a full-back, Tyrell made his debut for our Under-21s on the opening weekend of the 2022/23 season at Leicester City and was a regular for Wayne Burnett's side in the early stages of the campaign, while also playing twice in the Under-19 UEFA Youth League.
Unfortunately, a serious knee injury sustained in September, 2022, against Blackburn Rovers Under-21s ruled him out for a number of months.
