Team news | Tandberg & Ahtinen in contention for Liverpool clash

Fri 23 January 2026, 09:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Martin Ho has confirmed that Cathinka Tandberg and Olga Ahtinen are in contention to return to action for our trip to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

Back in Barclays Women’s Super League action this weekend, both players were back in training and enjoyed a full week on the grass at Hotspur Way as we prepare for our trip to the St Helens Stadium.

Tinka and Olga have been out of action since the November international break, with their last competitive match for us coming in the 1-0 Subway Women’s League Cup win over Bristol City.

Now, having been involved in full training this week and recovered from their injuries, Martin revealed that the duo are back in contention for selection ahead of our clash with the Reds.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday morning, he told the media: "It's as we were last game [against Leicester City], apart from that Cathinka and Olga come back in contention, so we will see how they get through today and tomorrow, and then make a decision, depends how they get through that, on whether they travel, but they're back in contention."

Defender Charlotte Grant remains on the sidelines but continues to work behind the scenes in her recovery, with our Head Coach reporting that the Australia international is 'getting closer and closer' to a return to team training.

As for our long-term injuries, Jess Naz, Luana Buhler, Maite Oroz and Ella Morris remain sidelined for this weekend’s game, with the latter continuing to progress well on the pitch.

He added: "Ella is doing a lot more now and getting closer to team training - and then the longer-term absentees from that. Charli is back doing some running now so she's getting closer and closer."
