The Club is proud to show its support for the Premier League With Pride campaign during today’s match against Newcastle United.
The With Pride campaign reiterates a commitment to ensuring everyone feels welcome across all areas of football by celebrating LGBTQI+ stories across the game, promoting allyship and highlighting the educational resources that are available.
The campaign will be celebrated during today’s match with rainbow-coloured corner flags and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium illuminating in rainbow colours. Furthermore, the campaign’s branding will also be visible across our social channels and in the matchday programme.
We were one of the first to establish a LGBTQI+ Supporters’ Association, the Proud Lilywhites. Formed in 2014 with just 8 members, Proud Lilywhites has grown into a global community of over 1,000 Spurs fans, leading over a decade of campaigning, events, training, and visibility work to promote LGBTQI+ inclusion across the game.
To mark this year’s campaign, the Club has today released a powerful film, in partnership with the Proud Lilywhites, highlighting the differing matchday rituals of members of the group, underlining how despite our differences our supporters are united through their love of the club.
One Club. Different Rituals. Same Pride.

Chris Paouros, Co-Chair of Proud Lilywhites, said: “With Pride matters because it sends a clear message that LGBTQI+ fans belong at Spurs, not just on campaign days but every day. Proud Lilywhites started as a small group of supporters who wanted to feel safe and visible at matches, and what it has grown into shows the power of community when a club listens and stands alongside its fans. Football is at its best when people can show up as themselves and feel part of something bigger.”
The Club works to promote equality and diversity in everything we do, from creating an inclusive atmosphere and experience in the Stadium to delivering a number of community projects.
Tottenham Hotspur Foundation runs weekly football sessions for LGBTQI+ supporters on Monday evenings at Tottenham Powerleague through its Just Proud group, providing an invaluable opportunity for members to exercise and build friendships.
The Club has also reaffirmed our commitment to Football vs Homophobia, a global campaign that aims to end discrimination and prejudice towards the LGBTQI+ community in football, by increasing visibility and creating more opportunities in the game.
