Dom on his wonder goal against City: "It was a crazy feeling watching it go in - it's one in a million"

Dominic Solanke watched his 'scorpion kick' loop into the net upside down on the floor - quite apt as he turned Sunday's thriller against Manchester City on its head with two goals to haul us back from 2-0 down to secure a 2-2 draw.

There were gasps from the fans as we replayed Dominic's equaliser on the big screens at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The striker heard that reaction, but hadn't seen the goal back until he watched it with us pitchside on SPURSPLAY. "It's great work from Conor, as soon as he went I thought, 'this is my moment'," he said. "It was a crazy feeling watching it go in. I'm doing a roly-poly as I see it going into the back of the net!

"It's a very rare goal to score. We don't see many of those go in. Obviously, it's nice to try it, but when it works, it's one in a million. It's definitely one of the best goals I've ever scored. It's a goal that I'm going to watch back a lot for sure."

It looked like a mountain to climb at half-time with City 2-0 up and we then lost skipper Cuti Romero, who had battled against illness in Frankfurt last week, and again on Sunday.

That made it 12 players missing - but the team found something, no doubt sparked by that first goal from Dom on 53 minutes, and then went into overdrive chasing the win following his spectacular equaliser on 70.

Asked how it felt at the time, Dom added: "It was a mix of emotions really. We were chasing the game. It was a goal to equalise. It would have been better if it was a goal to go one up. It's one of those goals where you try it and you never know if it's going to come off, but to see it come off was so good.

"The stadium was bouncing after that, a lot of noise when the goal was up on the screen. That's what we love when we're on the pitch and the crowd's bouncing, behind us. That's the feeling you love as a footballer, especially when we started playing some great football in the second half. It was a joy to be out there. We were trying to win the game. It was a great feeling and that's what we love when we're out there."
