Salford loan for Dorrington

Alfie Dorrington has joined League Two side Salford City on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign.

The 20-year-old centre-back, a product of our Academy, spent the first half of the season on loan at Aberdeen, having previously had an initial loan spell with the Scottish Premiership outfit last term, where he helped them lift the Scottish Cup. He made 30 appearances across his two stints at Pittodrie, scoring once.

An Under-17 and Under-18 Premier League Cup and Premier League 2 winner with our Academy in recent years, Alfie made his senior debut in our colours during our Premier League victory at Southampton in December, 2024.

He now links up with Salford, who are third in League Two and chasing promotion to the third tier.
