Moore salvages late draw for Rangers

Mikey Moore scored an 88th-minute equaliser to prevent Rangers from suffering a shock defeat at Scottish Premiership basement side Livingston on Sunday.

Our on-loan attacking midfielder headed in James Tavernier’s cross to haul his side back on level terms, shortly after team-mate Emmanuel Fernandez had made it 2-1.

Hosts Livingston had led 2-0 through Brooklyn Kabongolo and Lewis Smith, but the dismissal of Cristian Montano on the hour mark opened the door for Rangers to come back.

Mikey completed the full game and even had late appeals for a penalty denied after a VAR review saw nothing doing following Cammy Kerr’s foul on the youngster.

The result still saw Rangers drop points in what is shaping up to be a dramatic title race north of the border. It leaves them four points adrift of leaders Hearts with 10 games remaining.

Dane Scarlett was also involved in a match with Scottish title ramifications on Sunday – he came off the bench on the hour mark to help loan side Hibernian to a 2-1 win at 10-man Celtic that left the hosts third in the table, six points off the lead, albeit with a game in hand.
