London City Lionesses vs Spurs | Our previous Women’s FA Cup encounter

Tottenham Hotspur
Women’s FA Cup action returns on Monday evening (7.30pm UK) as we take on fellow Women’s Super League side London City Lionesses at Hayes Lane in the fifth round.
Having faced London City in England’s top flight earlier this season, where they ran out 4-2 winners on home soil, this will be our second meeting with the Bromley-based side in the FA Cup.
Welcoming the then WSL 2 side to Brisbane Road in the competition’s fourth round in January, 2023, we secured a thumping 5-0 triumph which involved five different goalscorers in the contest.
Captain Bethany England fired us into the lead after just 11 minutes before Mana Iwabuchi doubled our lead in injury time of the first period. The goals didn’t stop there after the break and further goals from Drew Spence, an own goal from Harley Bennett and Eveliina Summamen rounded off an impressive win.
Watch | Key highlights from our clash in 2023
We’ve faced London City Lionesses on three occasions – in three different competitions – and you can certainly expect plenty of goals in this encounter.
With 15 goals netted between the two sides in the three meetings, where we have scored 11 of those, each fixtures has seen an average of five goals.
Our previous Women’s FA Cup fifth round tie came in February, 2024, where a Kit Graham strike against her former side Charlton Athletic was enough to earn us a 1-0 win at Brisbane Road.
We’ve reached the fifth round of the competition on seven occasions, winning three of those, after progressing to this stage for the first time in March, 2015, since the mid-1990s.
