Our Academy players are in Seville, Spain this week ahead of Wednesday evening’s UEFA Youth League clash with Real Betis.

Coach Wayne Burnett took training on Tuesday afternoon at Ciudad Deportiva Rafael Gordillo – Real Betis’ Academy training complex – as preparations stepped up for the round of 32 fixture.

As usual in the UEFA Youth League, our squad comprises a mixture of Under-21, Under-18 and Under-16 players.

Hosts Real Betis came through the competition’s domestic champions pathway to reach this stage, while we were the top scorers in the league phase section of the tournament, where the fixtures mirrored the first team’s first six matches in the UEFA Champions League, finishing ninth after four wins and two defeats.

Supporters will be able to watch Wednesday’s match live in the UK on TNT Sports 4 or online via UEFA TV.
