Dominic Solanke, Cristian Romero, Guglielmo Vicario and Pedro Porro have all been named in the UEFA Europa League Team of the Season for 2024/25.

Announced following our unforgettable Europa League Final victory, the players were selected by the UEFA Technical Observer Group and mark our first ever inclusions in the team.

Beginning at the back, Guglielmo Vicario started nine of our 15 matches on our run to glory, keeping four clean sheets and conceding just five, never conceding more than one in a game.

In what was his debut season on the European stage, his four clean sheets included three in our last four games as he shutout Eintracht Frankfurt and Bodo/Glimt on their home turf before denying Manchester United in the Final in Bilbao.

Next up, Cristian Romero has also been included in the Team of the Season. Something which is perhaps not a surprise after the defender was also named Player of the Match for the Final as well as Player of the Season for the entire competition.

Only appearing in seven of our 15 games but in each of our last six games in the crucial run to the Final, Cuti was instrumental in our success and led us from the back, especially as he led us out as captain in the last four matches including the Bilbao final.

In that run, he provided the assist for Dominic Solanke's strike in our semi-final second leg away at Bodo/Glimt.

Joining Cristian in the side is the man who plays on his right, Pedro Porro. A player who marked his 50th appearance of the campaign in the Final, the defender played in all bar two of our 15-game run to glory, while he was present in every squad.

Across that run he scored two goals while providing three assists - and three of them came at very critical stages, including goals against Eintracht in the quarter-final and in the semi-final against Bodo/Glimt. He also provided an assist against the Norwegian side.

It was both Cristian and Pedro's first-ever seasons in the UEFA Europa League.

Dominic was our final player included in the squad after his fine debut season in the competition and for the Club.

Like Pedro, the forward scored five times for us - our joint-top goalscorer in he competition alongside Brennan Johnson - while he provided four assists.

Again, like Pedro, the summer arrival from AFC Bournemouth played 13 of our 15 matches while the majority of his goals came in the knockout stages as he struck the crucial winner against Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter-finals before a goal in each leg of the semi-finals. He had also provided two assists in our round of 16 turnaround against AZ Alkmaar.
