We extended our unbeaten home run in European competitions to 23 on Tuesday night with our 3-0 win over Slavia Prague at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Last defeated in a European game in N17 back in February, 2020, when RB Leipzig ran out 1-0 winners in the first leg of our Round of 16 tie, we have since played 23 games at our world-class home and have avoided defeat in all of them.
In fact, we have done more than just avoid defeat as we have actually won 19 of those 23 (drawn four) - that's an 82 per cent win record!
In the five years since we faced RB Leipzig, we have played matches at home in all three of the major European competitions (UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League) and have scored 63 goals, conceding just 13 (a +50 goal difference!)
Sporting CP, AC Milan, Eintracht Frankfurt and AS Roma are the only teams to take a draw away from N17 in that period.
A fair way off eclipsing the Club record
While our current unbeaten run of 23 home games in Europe is mightily impressive, it is still well short of our Club record run.
From our first ever home game in European club football - an 8-1 win over Polish side Gornik Zabrze at White Hart Lane in September, 1961 - we managed a colossal run of 42 home games unbeaten in European football.
That was a run that ended up lasting almost 24 years as we suffered a first home defeat in Europe 43 game later in March, 1985, with Real Madrid edging us 1-0 under the lights in north London.
