Team news from Forest | Dyche hopeful on Sels

Fri 12 December 2025, 14:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Nottingham Forest could be without goalkeeper Matz Sels for our visit to the City Ground on Sunday.

The Belgium international, who has played every minute of the Premier League season so far for Sean Dyche's side, missed their 2-1 Europa League win away at FC Utrecht on Thursday night due to a groin issue.

Sels didn't travel to the Netherlands with the Forest squad as a precaution, which Dyche is hoping some extra rest will give him the best chance to play on Sunday afternoon.

While Sels' status is up in the air, they will definitely be without club captain Ryan Yates, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury that could be a "slow one", according to Dyche.

Yates was forced off just 16 minutes after coming on as a half-time substitute in their 3-0 loss at Everton last weekend.

For their win in Utrecht, Dyche made nine changes to the side that fell to defeat away at Everton, with Oleksander Zinchenko and Douglas Luiz returning from an extended spell on the sidelines, both making their first starts in over a month.

Brazilian defender Murillo also returned to the side after missing the last three games due to a minor hamstring issue, which was then followed by an illness.
