Ben closes in on Harry Kane's European appearance record

Ben Davies has moved to within two of Harry Kane's all-time club appearance record in European competition.

Our longest-serving player made a welcome return to action off the bench in our 3-0 win against Slavia Prague in MD6 of the league phase of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Already second in the all-time standings, that took the defender up to 74 appearances in Europe, having made his club debut against AEL Limassol in the Europa League back in August, 2014. Harry made 76 appearances between 2011-2023, having also made his debut in Europe, against Hearts.

Meanwhile, Rodrigo Bentancur has reached the 25 appearance mark in Europe for us - he's the 42nd player to hit a quarter-century of European appearances for us. Cuti Romero (23), Pedro Porro (21), Pape Matar Sarr (21) and Richarlison (20) are just behind.
