Richarlison has been named your HSBC Player of the Match following his breathtaking brace in our 3-0 opening day win over Burnley in the Premier League.
In a poll run exclusively on the Spurs Official App, our number nine led the line superbly and put on a finishing clinic to scoop the first award of the 2025/26 campaign.
At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time under Thomas Frank, the Brazilian frontman got the nod to start and rewarded his Head Coach by sweeping home Mohammed Kudus' cutback to give us an early lead 10 minutes in and ease any first-day nerves.
Playing with a confidence and a swagger that made him a nuisance for the Clarets' defence throughout, Richy then produced the spectacular to double our lead on the hour mark and take his home tally to nine goals from his last nine starts in N17.

Again supplied by the excellent Kudus who jinked past his marker and crossed into the box from the right flank, the 28-year-old set himself and dispatched an acrobatic scissor kick - somewhat of a trademark similar to his goal for Brazil at the 2022 FIFA World Cup - to send team-mates and fans into a frenzy. The finish alone was worthy of an early Goal of the Season contender, but with it coming after a 17-pass team move where every player touched the ball will take some beating!
His goals aside, another feature of his standout display was his work rate, link-up play and hold-up play to drive the team forward. These were on show in his involvement in our third goal when, picked out by Cristian Romero's bouncing pass inside the Burnley half, the centre-forward did well to hold off his marker and bring the ball under control, allowing Pape Matar Sarr to take it from him and supply Brennan Johnson on 66 minutes.
Replaced by Dominic Solanke in the 70th minute, Richy left the field to rapturous applause from the Spurs supporters in north London in recognition of one of his best all-round performances in Lilywhite.
