
Loan watch | Solomon's debut assist for Leeds, fine win for Gil's Girona in Seville

Manor Solomon marked his debut with an assist as Leeds United beat Hull City 2-0 in the Championship on Saturday.
The winger stepped out for his first appearance at Elland Road and provided the spark for the opening goal on 63 minutes. Manor got away from two defenders on the left and whipped in a cross to the near post, converted by Mateo Joseph.
Manor was substituted on 74 minutes and his replacement, Joel Piroe, saw Leeds home with the second goal eight minutes from time.

Staying in the Championship, Ashley Phillips started and also played 74 minutes as Stoke beat his former loan side Plymouth 1-0 at Home Park. Dane Scarlett was an unused substitute in Oxford's 3-1 win against Preston.
Matthew Craig started and completed a full shift as Barnsley beat Crawley 3-0 in League One and in League Two, George Abbott stepped off the bench for his debut as Notts County beat Swindon Town 2-1 at the County Ground.

Over in Spain, a good weekend for our two loanees - Alejo Veliz struck a late winner for Espanyol against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga - more here - while Bryan Gil started and played 89 minutes as Girona picked up a fine 2-0 win against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium. Bryan was on target in Girona's 4-0 win against Osasuna on Thursday evening.
Young goalkeeper Carey Bloedorn started as Aveley picked up a 1-1 draw against Torquay United in National League South.
