Spence nominated for WSL Goal of the Season

Fri 24 May 2024, 11:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Drew Spence’s stunning finish against West Ham United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been shortlisted for Goal of the Season by Barclays Women’s Super League.

The experienced midfielder only netted her first goal of the campaign at the beginning of May in our 2-2 draw with Everton and then doubled her tally of the season in fantastic fashion in our final outing of the 2023/24 campaign.

With the game in the ninth minute of injury time, Jess Naz teed up the Jamaica international on the edge of the box, she took one touch before unleashing a powerful strike, from around 20 yards out, beyond Mackenzie Arnold into the top right corner.

The 31-year-old will be up against Arsenal’s Cloe Lacasse and Vivianne Miedema, Aston Villa’s Rachel Daly and Danielle Turner, Manchester United’s Ella Toone, Manchester City’s Khadija Shaw and Everton’s Aurora Galli.

You can vote for Drew’s goal via the link below – voting closes at 11am on Tuesday (28 May).
