The Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation raises awareness of and pursues initiatives to increase survival following cardiac arrest.

Edinburgh, who spent a decade playing for Tottenham Hotspur between 1990 - 2000, during which time he won FA Cup and League Cup titles in 1991 and 1999 respectively, was just 49 years old when he tragically died of a cardiac arrest whilst training in the gym.

The Foundation campaigns for access and installation of life-saving defibrillators mandated by legislative change, while inspiring a generation of heroes with the confidence and competence to perform CPR.

The group will set off at around 5am and undertake a route that will travel through Kent, southeast London, acrass the Thames, through Hackney and finally up the High Road to the Stadium, where they will be met by Club legend Ledley King ahead of kick-off.

Steve Button, Chairman of South East Thames Spurs, said: “Since our formation in 2017, we have always had a strong link with charities, and have currently raised over £50,000 for good causes. Through South East Thames Spurs, we have built a real community and made lifelong friends. I am proud of what we have created, we couldn't wish for a better group of members.

“I spoke to Justin Edinburgh at the Champions League Final in Madrid, and then just days later he was gone. A defibrillator in his gym could have saved his life, which is why the work done by the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation is so vital.”
