Son named in Korea squad for World Cup qualifiers

Heung-Min Son will captain his nation once again as they face two World Cup qualifiers this month.
Already well under way in their qualification campaign for the 2026 World Cup, this month, Korea face a double header in qualifying with two games against Thailand.
Having won each of their first two games in their Second Round group - defeating Singapore (5-0) and China (3-0) in November - they will now take on Thailand, first at home in Seoul at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Thursday 21 March (kick-off 11am UK) before travelling to the Thai capital of Bangkok to face them again on Tuesday 26 March (kick-off 12.30pm UK) at the Rajamangala Stadium.
Sonny heads into the break with 123 caps and 44 goals for his nation to date.
