Barbora Votíková has been shortlisted for the FA Women’s Super League Player of the Month award for December.
We closed the curtain on the year with a historic victory over Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – our first-ever win over our local rivals – and it was certainly a heroic performance from Barbora.
She produced a number of fine saves throughout the game, facing eight shots on target from the Gunners, denying Frida Maanum and Victoria Pelova in the first half before Kyra Cooney-Cross in the closing stages of the game.
That was her first start in the WSL and her excellent display at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has seen her nominated for the latest Player of the Month award.
She will face competition from Manchester City’s Lauren Hemp and Khadija Shaw, Liverpool’s Taylor Hinds, Manchester United Ella Toone and Leicester City’s Lena Petermann.
