Spurs vs Man City (FA Cup) | How to watch, team news, kit colours, key information

Fri 26 January 2024, 12:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Just as was the case in the third round proper, the Emirates FA Cup has served up another all-Premier League tie for us tonight as we face holders Manchester City in the fourth round at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Here’s all you need to know ahead of the 8pm kick-off...

How can I watch the game?

Tonight’s tie will be televised live in the UK on ITV1, kick-off 8pm.

Overseas broadcast listings can be found on our Spurs on TV page here.

You can also follow the game live and in-depth via our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, where we’ll have full live radio and text commentary available as usual, complemented by images, live in-game stats and more.

National radio commentary will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSPORT.

Before the action gets underway, you’ll also be able to watch The Warm-Up, our pre-match show emanating from inside the stadium, to get closer to all the action. The show will be on air from 7.15pm UK time on SPURSPLAY and our official YouTube channel, with The Review Show available from two hours after the full-time whistle on SPURSPLAY.

Video highlights will also be available on SPURSPLAY from 12pm UK time on Saturday.

What is the team news?

Following a two-week mid-season break, creative midfielder James Maddison could return to action following an ankle injury while Dejan Kulusevski is available again after missing out against Manchester United through illness last time out.

With Ben Davies and Dane Scarlett also back in training and close to a comeback, that leaves Alejo Veliz, Giovani Lo Celso, Ryan Sessegnon and Manor Solomon as our absentees, while captain Heung-Min Son (Asia Cup), Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma (Africa Cup of Nations) are away on international duty.

As for Man City, Pep Guardiola confirmed this is one game too soon for striker Erling Haaland, but goalkeeper Ederson and John Stones are both back in contention, with fellow defender Manuel Akanji remaining sidelined through injury.

Who is the referee?

Paul Tierney, last season's FA Cup Final referee, will take charge of tonight’s tie.

Adrian Holmes and Scott Ledger will be his assistants, with Darren England as the fourth official.

On Video Assistant Referee duties will be Tim Robinson, supported by Jarred Gillett (Support Video Assistant Referee) and Simon Bennett (Assistant Video Assistant Referee).

What colours will the teams be playing in?

We’ll be in our 2023/24 all-Lilywhite home strip, while our goalkeeper will play in the light blue keeper's kit.

City will wear their all-black change strip, which features light blue patterns on the shirts and socks, complete with red sponsor logos.

Their keeper will wear purple.

What will the weather conditions be like?

It’s forecast to stay dry tonight with temperatures at around five degrees at kick-off.
