We can confirm the starting line-ups and substitutes for tonight’s FA Cup third round tie with Burnley (Friday 5 January, 8pm UK).
For our first outing in 2024, Ange Postecoglou has made two changes to the side that started our Premier League clash with AFC Bournemouth on New Year’s Eve.
Dejan Kulusevski starts in the forward line after serving his one-match suspension and Oliver Skipp comes into midfield, replacing Club captain Heung-Min Son (Asian Cup) and Pape Matar Sarr (Africa Cup of Nations) who are away on international duty.
Rodrigo Bentancur has been named as captain for the first time.
In a huge boost to the matchday squad, Micky van de Ven is involved for the first time since sustaining his hamstring injury against Chelsea on 6 November. Also returning amongst the substitutes are Ryan Sessegnon, who returns after 11 months out, and Dane Scarlett who comes in following the end of his loan spell at Ipswich Town.
Here is our full line-up…
Starting XI: Vicario; Pedro Porro, Royal, Davies, Udogie; Skipp, Bentancur (c), Lo Celso; Kulusevski, Richarlison, Johnson.
Substitutes: Forster, Phillips, Dorrington, van de Ven, Sessegnon, Hojbjerg, Donley, Bryan, Scarlett.
