Footballers, sporting icons and celebrities have reacted with messages of support for Ryan Sessegnon following his latest injury setback.
The 23-year-old made an initial comeback from a left hamstring injury this season as a second-half substitute in our FA Cup third round victory over Burnley on 5 January - his first appearance since February, 2023 - but sadly injured his right hamstring playing for our Under-21s against West Ham United in the Premier League 2 earlier this month.
Taking to social media after undergoing surgery on Monday (26 February), Ryan shared a heartfelt statement saying he was 'gutted beyond belief' but will do 'everything' to get back out on the pitch as well as show his gratitude for all the support he has received.
Within minutes of posting, our player had received an outpouring of messages in the comments section from a number of our Men's first team players, his former teammates and even NBA legend Steve Nash and British rapper 'AJ Tracey'.
