Further history was created in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup on Sunday afternoon as a 2-1 victory over Leicester City booked our spot in the final for the first time in the team’s history.

Jutta Rantala handed the visitors the lead with an early goal in the first half at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but, for the second consecutive time in this competition, we forced the game into extra time after Jess Naz grabbed an equaliser with seven minutes left on the clock.

Although the Foxes struck the woodwork and Matilda Vinberg was denied by Lize Kop in the additional 30 minutes, it seemed destined that we were heading to another penalty shootout until Martha Thomas headed home the winner in the 118th minute, sparking jubilant scenes with over 18,000 supporters in attendance at our world-class stadium.
