Richarlison denied a goal as Brazil edge Peru

There was frustration for Richarlison in Brazil's clash with Peru this morning as he saw a goal ruled out for offside.

Thumping home a header in the Seleção's 2026 World Cup qualifier with 30 minutes on the clock in Peru's national stadium in Lima, the forward's effort was ruled out for offside with him shown to be agonisingly just inches ahead of the final man in the VAR review.

That was further frustration for our number nine after having been denied an assist eight minutes earlier after Neymar was ruled offside in the build up to Raphinha's attempt.

Despite seeing those two efforts ruled out though, Brazil did go onto win the game in the final minute with Marquinhos glancing in Neymar's corner.

The game was Richarlison's 46th for his nation.
